About The Role

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working researchers, academics, and scientists who want to contribute to something at the frontier of technology — on their own schedule.

What You'll Do

• Design and solve advanced atmospheric science problems with real-world relevance — covering areas like climate modeling, weather dynamics, atmospheric chemistry, and more
• Review and evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning for accuracy, depth, and rigor
• Develop complex, multi-step problem statements that challenge AI models to reason at an expert level
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to refine model outputs
• Ensure scientific clarity, precision, and integrity across every deliverable
• Work independently and on your own schedule — no meetings, no commute

Who You Are

• Holds a Master's or PhD in Atmospheric Science, Climate Science, Meteorology, or a closely related field
• Experienced with Python or R for scientific research or data analysis
• Deep expertise in one or more of: climate modeling, atmospheric dynamics, ecology, or sustainability science
• Exceptional written communicator — able to explain complex concepts clearly and precisely
• Detail-oriented and methodical, with a strong commitment to scientific accuracy
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, AI evaluation, or quality assessment workflows
• Background in academic publishing, peer review, or scientific writing
• Familiarity with AI tools or language model capabilities
• Experience working across interdisciplinary research teams
