SOFTWARE ARCHITECT (M/F/D)

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect/Engineer to join our team developing advanced lighting software used across automotive applications. This role involves driving software design, improving existing systems, and supporting users and development teams to deliver high‑quality, reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software modules for lighting simulation and analysis.

• Define software architecture and ensure high coding standards across the team.

• Modernize and refactor legacy code to improve performance and maintainability.

• Collaborate closely with Product Owner, key users, and cross‑functional teams to enhance product functionality and user experience.

• Support software testing, integration, and deployment activities.

• Provide training, guidance, and technical support to internal users.

• Contribute to pre‑development and series production projects, staying aligned with the latest automotive lighting technologies.

Required Experience & Skills

• Extensive experience in desktop software development for complex, physics‑based systems.

• 10+ years of hands-on programming experience with C++, C#, and MFC/WPF.

• Strong background in legacy code modernization and system optimization.

• Solid understanding of agile development, test-driven development (TDD), and version control.

• Practical experience with GitLab, gRPC, and Inno Setup.

• Ability to train and mentor others in modern C++ practices.

• Strong team player with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.

• Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
