Software Tester (Manual / Automation) | 12 months fully remote freelance role (multi-year engagement)

We are hiring multiple Software Testers (Manual / Automation)

to join a global delivery team working on a large-scale, multi-year enterprise transformation program for a reputed international client.

This is a fully remote, contract opportunity for quality-focused professionals who can ensure reliability, performance, and usability across complex enterprise applications.

Role Details

• Role: Software Tester (Manual / Automation)

• Engagement Type: Contract / Independent Consultant

• Location: 100% Remote (Work from anywhere)

• Duration: 12 months (strong extension potential)

• Start Date: Immediate or within the next few weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and document manual test cases based on functional and technical requirements.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and backend applications.

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Identify, log, track, and validate defects using standard defect management tools.

• Participate in test planning, estimation, and test strategy discussions.

• Ensure test coverage, quality standards, and traceability across releases.

• Support test data preparation and environment validation.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).

• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and QA methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with test case design, execution, and defect tracking.

• Experience with at least one test automation tool or framework.

• Ability to work independently in a remote, global delivery environment.

• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.

• Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or REST clients.

• Knowledge of test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.

• Experience testing enterprise or large-scale systems.

• Experience testing SAP or enterprise platforms is a plus.
