Job Description

As a Plant Accountant at our manufacturing plant in Shirwal, your role will involve managing accounting, compliance, MIS reporting, and financial coordination activities. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure accurate accounting, statutory compliance, and timely financial reporting. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Accounting & Book Keeping** - Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in ERP/accounting software. - Verify and account purchase invoices, expenses, debit/credit notes, and journal entries. - Reconcile vendor, customer, bank, and inter-company accounts. - Maintain fixed asset register and inventory-related accounting records. - Ensure proper documentation and accounting controls at plant level. - **MIS & Financial Reporting** - Preparation of monthly MIS reports and plant performance reports. - Support preparation of budgeting, costing, variance analysis, and financial analysis. - Track plant overheads, consumables, utilities, and operational expenses. - Coordinate with corporate finance team for monthly closing activities. - **Statutory & Tax Compliance** - Ensure compliance with Income Tax, TDS, GST, and other statutory requirements. - Preparation and verification of GST data including GSTR reconciliations. - TDS working, reconciliation, and support for timely statutory payments and filings. - Coordinate with consultants and HO finance team for statutory compliances. - **Audit Coordination** - Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, cost auditors, and tax auditors. - Provide required schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents during audits. - Assist in implementation of audit observations and internal controls. - **Cross Functional Coordination** - Support procurement, operations, stores, production, and HR teams with financial and operational data requirements. - Coordinate for inventory verification, material accounting, and stock reconciliations. - Assist management in data analysis related to production, costing, and operational efficiencies. - Ensure smooth flow of financial information between plant and head office teams. **Qualification Required:** - B. Com / M. Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter - 3-6 years of experience preferably in the manufacturing industry - Working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and accounting principles - Experience in ERP systems and MS Excel - Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills - Ability to work independently in a plant environment If you are the successful candidate, you will be working in a dynamic environment where your expertise will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.
