As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will be a key member of our team. You will work on real-world products, contribute to architecture decisions, and help improve development standards across the team. This is a hands-on role suited for professionals who enjoy building reliable software and solving technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and define comprehensive test scenarios.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop reusable automation components using appropriate design patterns.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze failures, logs, and test reports.
• Perform API testing for REST services and validate integrations.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.
• Participate in defect triage and work closely with developers to identify root causes.
• Perform database validation using SQL queries where required.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform cross-browser and responsive testing.
• Contribute to test planning, estimation, risk identification, and release validation.
• Review test cases and automation scripts created by junior QA engineers.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and QA processes.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in QA Automation / Software Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver or equivalent automation tools.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Excellent understanding of OOP concepts and programming fundamentals.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of Page Object Model (POM) and reusable automation architecture.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, and QA methodologies.
• Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Good SQL knowledge for database testing and validation.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Automation Framework & CI/CD

• Experience designing or enhancing automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of data-driven, keyword-driven, or hybrid automation frameworks.
• Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, npm, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• Experience integrating automated tests with Jenkins or other CI/CD platforms.
• Ability to analyze automation execution reports and logs.

API & Database Testing

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, headers, authentication, and JSON.
• Experience validating API requests, responses, schemas, and data.
• Good understanding of SQL queries, joins, and database validation.
• Ability to validate data across UI, API, and database layers.

Good to Have

• Experience with modern automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Knowledge of mobile application automation testing.
• Experience with JMeter or other performance testing tools.
• Understanding of Docker and cloud-based testing environments.
• Experience with parallel test execution and cross-browser testing platforms.
• Knowledge of test reporting tools such as Allure or Extent Reports.
• Understanding of security testing concepts is an advantage.

Education

• B.E./B.Tech/BCA/MCA or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
